Eventful birthday

ちょっとしたアクシデントのため、なんと1歳の誕生日をERで過ごしました…。
パニックで日本で言う１１０番（こっちだと９１１）にも電話してしまい……。
帰ってきて、血だらけの洋服＆部屋を片付けて急いで夕飯を作ったので、ケーキも焼けず、
アイスクリームにろうそくを立ててお祝いしました。
結果は軽い傷で済んだので、皆さんご心配なくね！

So... we had a little incident yesterday (YES on her birthday) and Melly had to spend the whole day at ER. She is all better so don't worry!
But I was fairly depressed about the whole thing last night.
Could I have watched them closer?
Could I have handled it better?
The thing is accidents do happen and I did handle it as best as I could.
(Sorry to confuse everyone...)

So, since we came home around 4 something, I quickly put together dinner, couldn't bake a cake but celebrated her birthday with ice cream :-)
I think despite the fact we had a wonderful birthday.

We are so blessed to be able to spend her birthday as one happy family.
